Gordon Ramsay has been accused of ‘ignoring the rules’ of his restaurant by saying no meat, cheese or anything but the finest quality beef is served.
The host of the popular BBC show Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares has been criticised by critics for his insistence that his restaurants offer only ‘the best quality beef’.
Now, the star chef has said his restaurants have a strict no-meat-or-cheese policy, and says he’s been told he should have a steak dinner.
He told the Telegraph: ‘No cheese, no meat.
‘We don’t have a single meat or dairy product on the menu.’
So if you want something good, you’ll have to go to the butcher and get it yourself.’
We don, we don’t offer any kind of cheese, and if we do have cheese, it’s the best quality we can find, and I’ve been told it’s very good.’
And he added that if he were asked by the press to ‘rethink’ his menu, he would not do it.’
I’ve had a lot of people ask me about the cheese policy, the no-fries policy, I have no comment on it,’ he said.’
And I can’t really comment because the restaurant isn’t open for business, so I can only tell you that the cheese is very good and I will continue to serve it.
